Language & region

The Language & region page sets what new users of the organisation start with. Each user can still change these in their own profile.

Authorization​

Open to the System Administrator and Organisation Admin roles. See Roles.

Switch the sidebar to the Admin view, choose Settings under Organisation, then Language & region in the Appearance group. See Organisation settings.

Defaults for new users​

  • Language: the language of the application. It also comes first in the language menu and is shown to visitors who are not signed in.
  • Timezone: used to show dates and times.
  • Format: how dates and numbers are written, with an example of the result.

The languages people can pick, and your own wording for any text, are managed on Languages & texts.
